We, the educational team at Fairmont Elementary School, believe that all students can achieve personal academic excellence in a safe environment that fosters a strong work ethic and positive character traits.

1. Our staff, together with parents and community, has established clear performance standards that are set at attainably high levels for each student.
    
2. We were the first to have an extensive full-inclusion program, a GATE program that others emulate, a successful Latin Cell Program, outstanding, P.E. program, and a student mentor program that positively impacts 150 students yearly.
    
3. Our powerhouse educational team utilizes rich and diverse instructional techniques and methods that are explicitly designed to assist all children in achieving the standards.
    
4. Parents, community members, and staff work collaboratively to extend learning beyond the four walls of our classrooms.
    
5. With great professionalism our staff selects curriculum that is focused on meeting the needs of all students (high achievers, as well as those not yet proficient) through enrichment, remediation, and/or intervention.
    
6. We continually use the data analysis from assessment to provide opportunities for all of our students to meet the rigorous standards to make sure "No Child Is Left Behind."
    
7. Continuous communication and diverse opportunities for leadership support the philosophy of shared decision making by all stakeholders.
